Julie Katz, owner of The Extra Daughter LLC, found connection and support at Bounce Innovation Hub to better define the big message of who she was and how she could best serve her customers. She is a graduate of the Aspiring Entrepreneur and MORTAR at Bounce programs and is currently in the Next Level Incubator.

Her support service business helps the aging population with everyday tasks, like taking people to appointments and going in with them if needed; helping them with grocery shopping; and going to stores like Macy’s (and even helping them decide what outfit looks best). She also provides companion care for people, especially those with mild dementia, helping guide them through their day and stay safe.

She says Bounce is a good place to answer the question, “is this business viable?” One of the things that stuck with her from the entrepreneur class is being able to also describe the fundamental differences about your business.

In the beginning of entrepreneurship, Julie was despondent about her business and its lack of clients, until a connection at Bounce pointed out how much she had already accomplished, and she realized she wasn’t being patient. Because of her dedication and community at Bounce, she’s running a successful business and now she’s working six days a week serving clients who love her.
