This month, we sat down with Barbara Parker, owner of BF Empowerment Center to discuss her business and what working at Bounce means to her. Barbara rents office space for her company on the first floor in the Generator.
BF Empowerment Center is focused on creating systemic change and serves all 88 counties in Ohio with a focus on Cuyahoga, Portage, Summit, Stark and Trumbull counties. The business focuses on individual, family and couples counseling. Barbara and her team also offer training and consulting, case management, substance abuse treatment, employment services, and in-home-based treatment.
Barbara wants to break the stigma of mental health and wants potential clients to know that information is always confidential. She encourages entrepreneurs to find the things that bring them joy as self-care, which is incredibly important to maintain emotional, psychological and social well-being.
